Colchitas...Colcheras...Colchas...all things quilts


Or pretty little blankets. Colcha is the Spanish word for blanket or coverlet. It's the closest word for quilt and the one I have most commonly heard. A colchita is a blanket or a little quilt. A colchera is a quilter.

Organization. Or lack there of.

Two weeks ago I took over the dining room for my craft/quilt/Amy room. I have yet to organize a single thing.
My goal for Sunday is to make some progress:


  • get the fiction/nonfiction books upstairs to the bedroom to make room for my crafty books down here.

  • move the bookshelf so the couch can go against the wall.

  • clear off said couch.
I think I can do those things.Maybe I can even get a little sewing done.
