Or pretty little blankets. Colcha is the Spanish word for blanket or coverlet. It's the closest word for quilt and the one I have most commonly heard. A colchita is a blanket or a little quilt. A colchera is a quilter.

Paper piecing
There were lots of posts about the paper pieced little fox from Artisania. I looked at some of her patterns and had to try it. This is a little kitty who will be a gift for a friend. Her patterns are available on etsy.
