Colchitas...Colcheras...Colchas...all things quilts


Or pretty little blankets. Colcha is the Spanish word for blanket or coverlet. It's the closest word for quilt and the one I have most commonly heard. A colchita is a blanket or a little quilt. A colchera is a quilter.

Adam's quilt

Except that it isn't...

I originally got this fabric with Adam in mind. The numbers, the letters, the colors and scream Adam. But I put together 2 twin sized quilts from the fabrics and we just don't need twin size quilts. So once they are quilted they will go up for sale.

These quilts went through many phases. I recommend lots of sketching as you go and playing around with the fabrics. You'll never know if it will look good unless you try it.
