Or pretty little blankets. Colcha is the Spanish word for blanket or coverlet. It's the closest word for quilt and the one I have most commonly heard. A colchita is a blanket or a little quilt. A colchera is a quilter.

Backing and pinning

Pepin checks out the pieced back carefully.
Pinned and ready to go.
I can officially pin up to 65" by 65". I'm not sure Pepin approves.
I cleaned the floor and pinned two quilts last night- this larger one and a scrap one from a jelly roll. I'll put some pics of that up soon I hope. And quilting will hopefully start soon.
